Agusti Villaronga, Frederic Amat and Blanca Portillo tell the story of Jesus of Nazareth as his mother. A pagan gospel.
The actress Blanca Portillo stars in a bold revision of the figure of Mary, now a mere peasant who stole his only son by a divine decision not understand. The Irish Colm Tóibín offers this amazing theatrical monologue with a pagan Mary who spends his last days in Efes, haunted by the terrible hatred unleashed against Jesus and the disciples watched by her son. She knows that some of them write lies, so we want to tell what really happened. The director Agusti Villaronga is staging the story in a show that gets the more human face of the Virgin, a woman who, at the gates of death, presents a kaleidoscope of emotions as revive the ghosts of the past. The artist Frederic Amat signs the scenery of the show, which features music by composer and Australian singer Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance.
