Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage; The Cannon Theatre is pleased to announce Seussical, the Musical!
Directed by Tara Tremblett, with music direction by Diane Guenard, this dramatic homage to all things Dr. Seuss transports audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus. The mischievous Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and various perils, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, and a even a court trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. The powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and ultimately emerge triumphant!
Show times are January 27, 28, February 3 and 4 at 7:00 pm, with matinees on January 29, February 4 and 5 at 2:00 pm.
