The creative spirit that reinvented Folk back in the ‘60s is still very much alive in the music of today. Led by Nick Page, 160 voices of the Mystic Chorale will soar on November 18th and 19th at Converse Hall, Tremont Temple, in Boston as they perform THE FOLK REVIVAL REVISITED. Celebrating a mix of the old and the new, the performance will dive into the fun and passion of this remarkable, ever-evolving music, with pieces by classic artists such as Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, and Phil Ochs and more contemporary folk artists such as Ruth Moody of the Wailin’ Jennys and Carrie Newcomer.
Mystic Chorale welcomes returning guest Bill Staines, who has traveled more than 3 million miles over the past 40 years, sharing the folk tradition far and wide. The Boston Globe raves, “There is no better writer of instantly memorable sing along choruses in this genre of music!” Staines and Mystic will be accompanied by an old-time band led by Chris Eastburn.
Hearing Mystic Chorale sing with Bill Staines is amazing; hearing Bill Staines sing with a huge chorus is an experience not to be missed! The public is invited to come dive into the heart and power of this concert!
