The Belmont Dramatic Club is pleased to present mystery/comedy, Murder at Rundown Abbey, directed by CherylAnn Welch.
Craig Sodaro’s witty spoof combines the Sam Spade era and the more recent Downton Abbey with a dose of Agatha Christie’s penchant for poison.
The scene is set at the English estate of the Crumbledowns. Someone has been murdered and an American detective, Sam Splayed, and his assistant go undercover to solve the crime. Complicating matters is the lord of the house, Percival, who has been kicked in the head by a horse and suffers from intermittent amnesia. Ruling over all is Lady Sybil Snodley-Snippett, a diva if there ever was one.
Performance dates are Saturdays, Nov. 10 and 17 at 8:00 PM, and Sundays, Nov. 11 and 18 at 6:00 PM, at the Payson Park Church, 365 Belmont St, Belmont.
All tickets are $20. Seating is general admission.
