Actor Neil McGarry brings this one man show by Nicolas Minella to the Eventide Stage about the greatest actor of Shakespeare's age. Following an afternoon performance of Hamlet, William Shakespeare’s friend and the preeminent actor of his time, Richard Burbage is interrupted by a boy backstage seeking an apprenticeship. Despite his prodigious talents and steadily growing fame, Burbage is in a state of despair about his life and career. An insightful and highly entertaining examination of one of the most intriguing characters in theater history.
