The NEP’s annual Family Concert opens with Adolphus Hailstork’s Fanfare on Amazing Grace. Highlighted on the program are the winners of the 2024 New England Philharmonic Young Artist Competition Hayden Ren and Andrew Kim, performing movements from Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto. The suite from Bela Bartok’s ballet, The Wooden Prince, will be presented along with projected animations that connect the story of a non-human fairytale character to the emerging influence of digital avatars in our own time. After the performance, join us onstage for an instrument petting zoo!
