The Un-Common Theatre and Bay Colony Productions announce auditions for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"

The Un-Common Theatre Company and Bay Colony Productions are pleased to announce the audition dates for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat ", a fun and lively adaptation of the Broadway classic. This production, our third collaboration with Bay Colony Productions, will be performed at the Orpheum Theatre Foxboro on December 3-5 and December 10-12, 2010.

The Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. Joseph, his father's favorite son, is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams. When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged. Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock 'n' roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless.

Auditions for children grades 2 -12 and adults will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 1-4 pm at the Orpheum Theatre Foxboro BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Callbacks will be at 4:30 pm on the same day. Auditioners are required to prepare 16 bars of a song from "Joseph".

This production features the creative team of Director and Choreographer Michael Hammond and Musical Director Esther Zabinski. Rehearsals will be held on Sunday afternoons in Foxboro and Tuesdays and Thursday evenings in Mansfield beginning Sunday, September 27th.
