Tickets are now available for The Un-Common Young Performers Production of "Disney's The Lion King JR" being presented atQualters Middle School, Mansfield on March 10-12, 2017! Tickets are available for shows on Friday, March 10th at 7:30 pm, Saturday, March 11th at 2:00 pm and Sunday, March 12th at 2:00 pm. Pre-Sale Tickets are $12 for Adults and $10 for Students and may be purchased by calling (800) 838-3006 or on line at http://unco-lionking.brownpapertickets.com/.

Disney's The Lion King JR tells the story of the epic adventures of a curious cub named Simba (Anthony D'Amore, Mansfield, MAand Dillon Lightbody, Wrentham, MA) as he struggles to accept the responsibilities of adulthood and his destiny as king. Along the way, the young lion encounters a colorful cast of characters including spunky lioness Nala (Natanya Daniels, West Bridgewater, MA and Sadie Dussault, Sharon, MA), charismatic meerkat Timon (Samantha Grosshandler, Sharon, MA), and loveable warthog Pumbaa (George Potenza, Foxboro, MA). To claim his rightful place on the throne and save his beloved Pridelands, Simba must find his inner strength and confront his wicked Uncle Scar (Nathan Corbett, Attleboro, MA). Disney's The Lion King JR features classic songs from the 1994 film such as "Hakuna Matata" and the Academy Award-winning "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" as well as additional songs penned for the Broadway production.

The young cast of talented first through sixth graders is guided by Director and Ursuline Academy Senior Cara Dipietro (Norfolk, MA). Choreography has been created by Westwood High School Junior Erin Fitzgerald (Westwood, MA) with Music Direction byLinda Barbieri (Attleboro, MA).

Disney's The Lion King JR offers parents and grandparents a wonderful age-appropriate venue to expose children to the live theatre experience. This show is guaranteed to appeal to kids of all ages and allows the audience to enjoy theatre for kids by kids. Join us in encouraging the appreciation of the arts in a whole new generation.
