Lay of the Land New England Premiere Starring Tim Miller Nov 4 and 5 - 7:30pm, Nov 6 and 7 - 8pm, Nov 8 - 2pm
Calderwood Pavilion $15 to $45
Tim Miller returns to the Boston, unapologetically renegade and sardonically funny. It is a wild ride as he careens from marriage equality street protests, to the electoral assaults on gay folks all over the country, and back to his life as a grade-school flag monitor. All this, while on his sexy misadventures performing in 45 states. In the shadow of Proposition 8, queers are on trial, on the ballot and on the menu.
Tim Miller is an internationally acclaimed solo performer. He has performed at venues including Yale Repertory Theatre, London ICA, Walker Art Center, Actors Theatre of Louisville and Brooklyn Academy Of Music's Next Wave Festival. His book, 1001 BEDS, won the 2007 Lambda Literary Award for best book in Drama-Theatre. His other books include SHIRTS & SKIN and BODY BLOWS. He has taught performance at UCLA, NYU and the Claremont School of Theology. He co-founded two of the most influential performance spaces in the United States: PS 122 in Manhattan and Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica, CA.
