The Young Company Announces 24-Hour Musical: LEGALLY BLONDE Image

The Young Company at Greater Boston Stage will embark on an epic (and fast!) journey to stage Legally Blonde - The Musical in just 24 hours. The clock will start counting down at 3pm on Friday, October 5th. Students and staff will work as a collaborative creative team to stage, costume, and tech an entire production that will be performed and open to the public at 4:00pm on Saturday, October 6, 2018.

Legally Blonde - The Musical, based on the beloved movie, is a fabulously fun and international award-winning Broadway tribute to girl power. The story follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, sexism, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams and proves that you can be legally blonde and still the smartest person in the room. Driven by memorable songs and explosive dances, Legally Blonde - The Musical is a joyous journey of self-discovery.

Under the supervision of Director of Education, Dori Robinson, and Education and Artistic Associate, Tyler Rosati, this inaugural production of the 24-Hour Musical will benefit Fund-A-Need, the scholarship program which supports students throughout the year by removing the financial barriers of participating in Young Company programs.

Says Robinson, "This fundraising event puts 'the show must go on!' to the test. Will they make it in time? How many people will play Elle Woods? Will the whole audience learn to 'bend and snap?' Only one way to find out! Come join us!"

Thirty-five local Young Company actors will be featured in the 24-Hour Musical: Legally Blonde - The Musical: Gio Coppola, Zoe Ritchie, Nathan Symes-Elmer (Andover); Taylor Zweil (Framingham); Chloe Webster (Groveland); Kaveesh Pathak (Lexington); Molly Geaney (Lynn); Elizabeth Daly (Lynnfield); Isabel Forbes, Audrey Keating (Malden); Christa Ardito, Jack Durant, Zack Latta, Liliana Ravins (Melrose); Grace Conway, Fiona Lynskey (Peabody); Casey Vieira (Reading); Katerina Ververidis (Seabrook); Jengaun Chou, Maya Cunningham, Neena Dilorio, Carlie Lafauci , Abagail Martin, Chloe Nasson, John Pagliarulo, Sydney Vallone (Stoneham); Melydia Mccall, Elisabeth Nordeen (Wakefield); Caroline Linskey, Abby Nordan, Adah Nordan, Isabella Tedesco, Emma Torto (Winchester); Adrianna Ferrara (Winthrop); Conor Long (Woburn).
