The Secret Garden plays May 6-14 at the Cambridge YMCA Theatre

Join us in May for our spring 2011 production of The Secret Garden! Nominated for the 1991 Tony Awards for Best Musical and Best Score and originally starring Mandy Patinkin, The Secret Garden is based on the beloved children's book by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Orphaned in India, 11 year old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive Uncle Archibald and his invalid son Colin on his estate. Hidden within the grounds is a neglected garden, which beckons Mary with its haunting melodies and spirits from the family's past. As Mary and the children work with the earth to bring the garden back to life, its beauty and bounty are restored and the healing power of nature brings forth forgiveness, love, and renewal.

The Secret Garden stars Lucy Gladstone and Allsun O'Malley as Mary Lennox (alternate evenings), and Matthew Zahnzinger as Archibald Craven.
