The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts was awarded a grant from the Worcester Arts Council to facilitate a Creative Drama Workshop in collaboration with Pernet Family Health Services.

The workshop included a six-week series of sessions with a teaching artist from The Hanover Theatre Conservatory and youth from Pernet Family Health Services. The students worked in small and large groups, encouraged to identify and express their feelings through creative, writing, movement and acting exercises. The workshop was provided at no cost to the students.

"The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Pernet Family Health Service Youth Group on this artistic venture," said Meghan Montaner, director of education for The Hanover Theatre. "Two critical components of our most recent strategic plan include engagement and inclusivity, and this project serves both goals. We are firmly committed to increasing peripheral community outreach and engaging a more diverse population, as well as expanding our identity as a thriving arts education center."

This Worcester Arts Council is supported in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
