Storyteller Peter Aguero, veteran of The Moth, will perform his autobiographical show Daddy Issues on the Boston area concert series "The Fourth Wall Presents..." This production will feature a unique collaboration with the musicians of The Fourth Wall, who will serve as Aguero's opening act and resident house band. Daddy Issues plays at 8:00 p.m. on April 12 & 13 at The Lily Pad, in Cambridge's Inman Square.
In Daddy Issues, Peter Aguero takes a raw and sympathetic look at his relationship with and without his father over the years. Through crippling honesty, brutal humor, and vivid reflection, Peter tackles the universal plight of not being able to pick your family. Peter Aguero was born and raised in Southern New Jersey. He is a Moth GrandSLAM champion and an instructor for The Moth Community Program. He performs, hosts, and produces storytelling, burlesque, and variety shows in New York City and has been performed solo shows across North America.
The Fourth Wall was founded in 2010 by flutist Hilary Abigana, bass trombonist C. Neil Parsons, and percussionist Greg Jukes, all conservatory-trained musicians who are also dancers and actors. Currently in its inaugural season, "The Fourth Wall Presents..." is a series which pairs the ensemble's interdisciplinary approach with an eclectic roster of performing artists, showcasing works that defy description and transcend genre.
