The Footlight Club brings the roaring 20s to Jamaica Plain when it performs the musical "Wild Party" starting March 30 and running through April 14.
Adapted from a book-length poem written in and about the 1920s, Andrew Lippa's "Wild Party" tells the story of one wild evening in the Manhattan apartment shared by vaudevillians Queenie, a dancer, and Burrs, a clown. In a relationship marked by vicious behavior and recklessness (reflecting the time in which they live), the pair decide to throw a party to end all parties.
An award-winning score by Andrew Lippa provides excitement and drive for this tale of passions out of control. Performances take place in Eliot Hall, 7A Eliot Street, Jamaica Plain, on March 30 and 31, April 6, 7, 13, 14 @ 8 pm. Ticket prices range from $19-$25 and are available online or at the door.
