The F.U.D.G.E. (FRIENDS UNITED DEVELOPING GENUINE ENTERTAINMENT) Theatre Company's World Premiere of "HALF-MARRIED" will close on Saturday, February 6th at the Arsenal Center for the Arts Black Box Theatre.

"HALF-MARRIED," a sophisticated comedy of modern-day-manners, introduces us to two couples: Soren and Stephanie, John and Amanda. All four are young, bright, slightly over-educated, widely read, urban, urbane and erudite. They are all in their late twenties. They are all nice to look at. They are all very funny. And they are all not prepared for the announcement that comes right at the end of Act I.

Act II is an emotional roller-coaster ride. It takes place, as does Act I, in Soren and Stephanie's brand-new-ground-floor brownstone apartment where the couple has decided to begin their not-yet-married life together. Then comes the bombshell announcement. Cue reality. Cue the roller-coaster ride. Cue the World Premiere of a great comedy about the last frontier -- relationships.

Directed by Joe DeMita (the F.U.D.G.E. Theatre Company's Founder, President and Artistic Director), "HALF-MARRIED" will feature TODD SANDSTROM (bare, Blood Brothers, Once On This Island, Once Upon A Mattress), DANIELLE SOSNOWSKI (Beauty And The Beast, Guys & Dolls, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum), JAMIANNE DEVLIN (Oliver Twist, Love's Fire, Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, Fools, Proof) and Nate Johnson (Fools).

Ryan Cunningham (co-author) is the Drama Desk-nominated lyricist and bookwriter of "I Love You Because" written with composer Joshua Salzman-which has gone on to productions in London, Australia, Korea, Germany and across America. Also with Josh, Ryan is working on a new musical "Next Thing You Know," which will be performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer. A native of Needham, Ma, he holds an MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU and is a member of The Dramatists Guild and the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop. He is also a writer for the preeminent Broadway advertising agency, Serino Coyne.

CHARLES ANTIN (co-author) has published stories and essays in the Virginia Quarterly Review, Glimmer Train, Food & Wine, in "Modern Love" in the New York Times and in other publications. He won the award for short fiction from Glimmer Train and the Niki Singer Scholarship from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. He is a commercially rated pilot, and a wine specialist at Christie's.

JOE DeMITA (director) is one of the founders of The F.U.D.G.E Theatre Company, Inc. Directing credits include Jake's Women (Stonehill Theatre Company), Company (Winthrop Playmakers), and the F.U.D.G.E. productions of Once On This Island, Working, Rumors, Urinetown, Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams, I Sing!, The House of Blue Leaves, Into the Woods, Bat Boy, I Love You Because (Boston Premiere), Fuddy Meers, and bare (Boston Premiere). Joe has also served as the directing intern to Rob Ruggiero at TheatreWorks Hartford on productions of The Exonerated (featuring TV/Film star Kim Fields) and the world premiere musical Ella: Off the Record (starring Broadway's Tina Fabrique). In the Boston area, Joe served as the assistant director to Adam Zahler on the Lyric Stage's production of Talley's Folly. His most recent work on the Company's production of "Nevermore"

Costumes are by Tina Cersosimo. Lighting is by Jim Petty. Scenery is by Mr. DeMita.
