"THE GLORIOUS ONES" opened at Lincoln Center's Mitzi Newhouse Theatre on October 11th, 2007 to raves from both critics and audiences alike.

THE MUSICAL

"THE GLORIOUS ONES" is Stephen Flaherty's (Music) & Lynn Ahrens' (Lyrics) celebration of the impossible complications of love and lust in a 16th Century travelling troupe of self-obsessed actors who are completely infatuated with their own talents and any standing ovations they can marshal.

These masked uproarious prototypes are the creators of a lineage of icons that includes Lucille Ball, Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin.

They are overly dramatic megalomaniacs and emotional gymnasts.

They are also comic geniuses.

They fall madly in love. They elope. They purchase impotent love elixirs. They navigate the choppy waters of backstage. They infuriate the French King.
They go without money. They go without food. They go without connubial bliss. They go without conjugal euphoria.

What they won't go without is applause.

THE CREATIVE TEAM

Directed and choreographed by The F.U.D.G.E. Theatre Company's Founder, President & Artistic Director, JOE DeMITA, "THE GLORIOUS ONES" musical direction is by MEGAN BERGERON. Costume Design is by ANNEMarie Alvarez and LINDSAY HURLEY. Makeup Design is KAITLYN MacPHERSON. Props are by EMILY MONROE. MR. DeMITA is designing both the Scenery and the Lighting. TINA CERSOSIMO is the Production Stage Manager. MS. MONROE is also serving as Stage Manager.
