Artistic Director Nicholas Martin presents The Last Goodbye, the final production of the Williamstown Theatre Festival's 2010 season, which will play the Nikos Stage. Shakespeare's classic verse meets the driving passionate rock of iconic singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley in this world premiere musical. Conceived and adapted from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet by Michael Kimmel, with the music and lyrics by Jeff Buckley ("Grace"), arranged and orchestrated by Kris Kukul (Kasper Hauser), an ensemble of fourteen singer/actors bring to life the lyrical beauty of two great poets set in a world of youthful angst, grandeur and grit. Michael Kimmel (The Secret Agenda of Trees) directs and "So You Think You Can Dance" choreographer and guest judge Sonya Tayeh choreographs The Last Goodbye, which plays August 5 - 20 (opening night is August 7).

The cast of The Last Goodbye features Kelli Barrett (The Royal Family), Nick Blaemire (Cry-Baby), Celina Carvajal (The Toxic Avenger), Merle Dandridge (Spamalot), Damon Daunno (The Last Goodbye), Tom Hennes (Freedom Train), Max Jenkins (Hair), Jo Lampert (The Daughters), Jesse Lenat (Once Around the Sun), Deb Lyons (Smokey Joe's Cafe), Grace McLean (Twelfth Night), Michael Park ("As the World Turns"), Ashley Robinson (Giant), and Chloe Webb (Sid and Nancy, Forbidden Broadway).

The design team for The Last Goodbye includes scenic design by Michael Brown, costume design by Anne Kennedy, lighting design by Ben Stanton and sound design by Ken Travis. The production stage manager is David H. Lurie.
