THE BROADWAY EXPERIENCE Announces 2012 Winter And Summer Programs

The Broadway Experience is about to celebrate their ?fth year and is thrilled to announce their audition tour/masterclass series 2012. Students will have the opportunity to take part in a unique dance & song masterclass led by Broadway artists followed by an audition for 2012 enrollment. Students will need to pre-register and any student between the ages of 11 and 19 may apply. All students will be required to dance and sing in both the masterclass and audition and should come with sheet music from a Broadway show and be prepared to sing 32-64 bars for their vocal audition.

There will even be a chance to win two tickets and a backstage tour to Mary Poppins on Broadway! One name will be randomly chosen following the tour and the winner will be announced.

The cost to take part is $50 which includes the $25 TBE application fee. If you can not attend a live
audition you may submit a DVD or email a URL link to an online video as part of your application.

The Broadway Experience two week summer program will commence on Monday, July 30, 2012 and end on Sunday, August 12, 2012.

The Broadway Experience is an international musical theatre program designed to create triple threat performers. Now running both a three day winter intensive and a two week summer program, students will undergo an intense study of dance, voice, and acting along with a major performance opportunity with current Broadway professionals and incredible master teachers. Students will become stronger, more dynamic performers, preparing themselves for a professional career at the highest level. Founder & Director, Ben Hartley.

Sandy Faison (Annie), Julie Barnes (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Bahiyah Sayyed Gaines (Rock of Ages), Ron De Jesus (Movin' Out), J.T. Egan (The Little Mermaid), Matt Loher (Elf), and Luis Salgado (In The Heights), Alex Sanchez (Fosse), Amy Hall (Fosse), Jen Taylor (Mary Poppins), Mark Ledbetter (Anything Goes), Daniel Watts (In The Heights), Derrick Baskin (Memphis), Robert Creighton (Chicago), and Clyde Alves (Anything Goes).

Broadway Associate Choreographers and Directors also on the faculty included Jen Bender (The Lion King), Brian Hill (The Little Mermaid), Josh Rhodes (Drowsy Chaperone), Ginger Thatcher (Oklahoma), and Tara Young (The Little Mermaid). Broadway Casting Directors included Craig Burns (Telsey & Co) and Rachel Hoffman (Telsey & Co).

Ben Hartley, Founder & Director of The Broadway Experience, has been seen on Broadway in Lucy Prebble's Enron, The Little Mermaid, Swan Lake, Fiddler on the Roof, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the City Center Encores! staging of Follies. His other theatrical credits include Cats, Fosse, Cinderella, The Carman, The Most Happy Fella, Pirates and Hello, Dolly! Hartley has also performed with the Met Opera Ballet and the English National Ballet.
