Eddie Edwards has been mimicking and impersonating celebrity actors with uncanny precision ever since the 1970s. His skill as a vocalist and makeup artist eventually landed him a spot in La Cage aux Folles, where he performed and sang for many years as Ms Midler, Barbra Streisand, and Cher.

Eddie Edwards and His Twin Brother Anthony: Masters of Mimicry and Impersonation
Born in 1965 and raised in Burbank California, the Edwards twins lived near the famous NBC TV studios, where they would sneak in and watch tapings of shows like Sonny and Cher, Carol Burnett, and Laugh In. At home, they would play together, mimicking the stars in memorized skits from the rehearsals. Eddie's voice was higher than Anthony's, so he usually played the females. His first celebrity impersonation was that of Lily Tomlin's alter ego Ernestine the Telephone Operator.
Eddie began studying the art of makeup application after one Halloween when he had dressed up as a woman and was urged to try impersonating Barbra Streisand. He soon became proficient in looking exactly like a number of world-famous females. After many auditions, he was hired by La Cage aux Folles and traveled the world with the show, impersonating the mannerisms and singing the songs of Ms Midler and Ms Streisand.
Anthony earned a degree in music from California Academy for the Arts, then graduated from the Police Academy in San Diego and had intended to go into law enforcement. But he returned to show business when Carol Burnett suggested that he and Eddie perform as identical twin brothers portraying a host of celebrities. Their show, The Edwards Twins - 2 Brothers, 100 Stars, has entertained and fascinated audiences for more than a decade. Anthony has "done" more than 75 celebrities including Elton John, Tom Jones, Neil Diamond, and Ray Charles.
