Shakespeare & Company Presents LOVERS' SPAT with Alison Larkin  Image

Shakespeare & Company is pleased to announce the return of Lovers' Spat, this year with a new twist. The popular performance will be hosted by internationally acclaimed comedienne Alison Larkin. Company actors and guest performers explore the complexities of love in staged readings featuring theatre's most notorious couples' loving, fighting, scheming and wooing. Lover's Spat is directed by Artistic Director Allyn Burrows and will be performed in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre on Saturday, February 17 at 7:00pm and Sunday, February 18 at 2:00pm.

"In a whole smorgasbord of Shakescenes, we do the fighting and you do the making up on Valentine's Day weekend," said Artistic Director Allyn Burrows. "Join Alison Larkin and Shakespeare & Company artists as they slam and scrunch each other into impossible situations and then wriggle out of them with dizzying effect."

Company artists include: Elizabeth Aspenlieder, Martin Jason Asprey, David Bertoldi, Ariel Bock, Gregory Boover, Sarah Bowles, Allyn Burrows, MaConnia Chesser, Annie Considine, Johnny Lee Davenport, Jonathan Epstein, Luke Haskell, Tamara Hickey, Alison Howard, David Joseph, Caitlin Kraft, Madeleine Maggio, Kirsten Peacock, Patrick Toole, and Kai Tshikosi.

Tickets are $25 general admission. $10 student tickets are also available for both performances. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased online at www.shakespeare.orgor by calling the Shakespeare & Company box office at (413) 637-3353. The Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre is wheelchair accessible. Shakespeare & Company is located at 70 Kemble Street in Lenox, Massachusetts. The performance runs two hours with a fifteen minute intermission.
