Send Children To BTG PLAYS! Summer Camp Through The Richie DuPont Scholarship Fund

Berkshire Theatre Group presents Catch the Fever: An Evening with Fabrizio and the Fever, sending children to BTG PLAYS! Summer Camp through the Richie duPont Scholarship Fund, at The Colonial Theatre on Friday, May 18 at 7pm. Special guest performances by Berkshire County's Got Talent Winner, Madelyn Gardner (with Pinedrop) and Carl Wockner. Tickets are $15 and $25. VIP tickets are $50, which includes premium seating, 6pm Pre-Show Reception in the Garage with complimentary refreshments and Fabrizio and the Fever meet and greet.

All proceeds benefit BTG's Richie duPont Award. The Richie duPont Award was established in 2005 in memory of a talented young actor who performed in two of Berkshire Theatre Group's Main Stage productions. This fund provides camp scholarships so children can pursue their dreams of being on stage.

Fabrizio and the Fever (FnF) is an alternative-rock entity formed in 2013 by Massachusetts born singer/songwriter/entrepreneur Michael Fabrizio. The band, dubbed, "genre-gypsies" pull from a plethora of inspirations including classical, country, rock, Americana, folk-rock as well as pop and hip-hop music.

Michael Fabrizio says, "Nashville may have taught me a lot about music, but The Berkshires taught me about family, love and roots. I've always found it to be one of my favorite shows every year, coming home and playing to the music lovers of Berkshire County."

The band premiered in October 2013 with an opening slot for super group Boston at Berkshire Theatre Group's Colonial Theatre. Since then, FnF has opened for Robert Randolph, Sleeper Agent, Trigger Hippie, John Carter Cash, Craig Morgan, Jessica Andrews, Raelyn Nelson and others. FnF earned notoriety when they were chosen by Nashville's Lightning 100 as "Artist of the Week" in 2014 with their song, "Lately I've Been Waiting." Also, their song "California" was the winner in a song contest on Nashville's Hippie Radio 94.5 and five other songs from their debut album, Nunchuck Fury have been placed in numerous podcasts located throughout the Los Angeles area. Fabrizio has written songs and jingles for NBC/CBS, and appeared on the ABC show Nashville several times during season 4 as a member of Gunner's band. In 2015, Fabrizio and co-writer Patrick Raines earned "Best Song" in the Nashville 48 Hour Film Festival. Since the inception of FnF the group has released two albums, Fabrizio releasing a total of 7 throughout his 15-year career. He is regularly recording and writing new music and poems, working on his auto-biography, songwriting for TV/Film as well as writing movie and TV scripts and a three-part novel (due out in 2019).

Fabrizio is the owner of Red Roots Music LLC, a Nashville booking and music company and is the founder of The Nashville Masquerade, Nashville's premier rock n roll showcase. He has written songs in the corporate world for Hotel Indigo, Google, Empire Distribution and many more. He spends his free time with his wife and daughter and their dog Pepper. In his down time, Fabrizio enjoys gardening, wood working, reading, hiking, skiing, traveling and hanging out with friends and family.

Berkshire County's Got Talent winner, Madelyn Gardner, will be joined by Brattleboro based folk-grass group, Pinedrop. The four-piece Americana band consists of Derek Sensale (guitar), Dan Bisson (upright bass), Nick Paar (mandolin) and Charlie Peckar (fiddle). Pinedrop's newly released EP, "Four" was hailed as " fun, fast-pickin', folky/bluegrassy...this is the kind of stuff that will pull people into a local music scene" by Digital Wheat Paste.

Australian singer/songwriter and guitarist, Carl Wockner was named the first Australian artist to win Top Honors at the International Acoustic Music Awards in 2015, and his album Crayon Days received an Independent Music Award-nomination for Best Adult Contemporary Album in 2016. It was following this success that Wockner relocated to Nashville, TN.
