Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater is thrilled to kick off the 2017 summer of theater with Sex with Strangers by Laura Eason, opening May 18 and running through June 10. Jon Kovach (Girlfriend, 2016) returns to Wellfleet as Ethan, and Nichole Hamilton makes her WHAT debut as Olivia. Sex with Strangers is directed by Jeffry George

When twenty-something star sex blogger and memoirist Ethan tracks down his idol, the gifted but obscure fortyish novelist Olivia, he finds they each crave what the other possesses. As attraction turns to sex, and they inch closer to getting what they want, both must confront the dark side of ambition and the trouble of reinventing oneself when the past is only a click away.

Performances of Sex with Strangers are Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m. Special dates to note are Pay WHAT You Can Night on Friday, May 19, and an opening night reception on May 20. The audience is invited to stay for a playmaker talkback with the cast and creative team following performances on May 25 and June 1.

Tickets start at $20 and may be purchased online at what.org, at the WHAT box office, or by calling 508-349-9428. Student tickets are $12 and senior discounts are available.

Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater is the award-winning theater company that inspired "a new vigor for theater on the Cape" (New York Times). In honor of the theater's namesake, Julie Harris, WHAT continues to be a sounding board for new and bold ideas, presenting "continually adventurous theater" (Boston Globe), and year-round programming.
