Rita Rudner, Rusted Root & More Added to Berkshire Theatre Group's 2016 Lineup

Berkshire Theatre Group is pleased announce additions to the 2016 Colonial Theatre line-up: Las Vegas's "Comedian of The Year" nine years in a row, Rita Rudner; singing tunes from the '20s to the present, On The Stage Series: Miss B. Haven; and "Send Me On My Way" Platinum-selling, rock/jam band, Rusted Root. Tickets are on sale now.


Rusted Root will be at The Colonial Theatre on Saturday, May 14 at 8pm. Tickets are $40.

Miss B. Haven is added to BTG's On The Stage Series on Friday, May 20 at 8pm. The On the Stage Series features audience and artist on stage together in an intimate setting with limited seating. Tickets are $25.

Rita Rudner brings her comedy act to The Colonial Theatre on Friday, July 29 at 8pm. Tickets are $65 and $35.

Rusted Root

Rusted Root has sold more than 3 million albums worldwide since forming in Pittsburgh in the early '90s. The band's worldly style quickly charmed fans of roots music and world rock. Their 1994 album, When I Woke, went platinum and featured the hit songs "Send Me On My Way," "Ecstasy" and "Martyr." Throughout the '90s the band toured with many well known performers, perhaps most notably, supporting the Jimmy Page and Robert Plant reunion tour. The band's most recent album, The Movement, explores a variety of musical styles, crossing and merging genres. Expect new music and faithful fan favorites.

On The Stage Series: Miss B. Haven
at The Colonial

Tickets: $25

Based in the Berkshires, Miss B. Haven has been working together for over 20 years, singing tunes from the '20s to the present. With three-part harmonies reminiscent of The Andrews Sisters, The McGuire Sisters and The King Sisters, Miss B. Haven features Karen Auge, Wanda Libardi and Michele Marano with John Sauer on piano.

The On the Stage Series features audience and artist on stage together in an intimate setting with limited seating. Seating is general admission.

Named Las Vegas's "Comedian of The Year "nine years in a row, Rita Rudner's razor sharp wit is undeniable. At the age of fifteen, Rudner become a dancer on Broadway. She appeared in several shows, including the original productions of Follies and Mack and Mabel. It was while in Annie on Broadway that she began exploring the comedy clubs of Manhattan. Since then, the award-winning comedian, actress and best-selling author has been a frequent guest on the Late Night with David Letterman and The Tonight Show. Her first HBO special, Rita Rudner's One Night Stand, was nominated for several awards, as was her English BBC television show which later appeared on A&E.
