Last evening, A.R.T. celebrated the Opening Night of ExtraOrdinary at the American Repertory Theater. Directed by Terrie and Bradley Bloom Artistic Director Diane Paulus, the cabaret featuring seven performers from A.R.T.'s past celebrates a decade of musical theater at A.R.T.

Last evening's performance was a Pippin mini-reunion-Tony Award winner Patina Miller was the guest performer, and composer Stephen Schwartz, choreographer Chet Walker, and circus elements creator Gypsy Snider were in attendance. A.R.T.'s 2012 production transferred to Broadway where it earned the 2013 Tony Awards for Best Musical Revival, Best Actress in a Musical (Patina Miller), and Best Director (Diane Paulus).
Also in attendance were Harvard's current and former presidents Lawrence Bacow and Drew Gilpin Faust and production sponsors Linda Hammett Ory & Andrew Ory and Steve Johnson.
