Harold Thau, in association with Festival Management is currently presenting the inaugural tour of Almost Heaven: Songs of John Denver.

Almost Heaven: Songs of John Denver is a live musical experience that is breaking box office records from coast-to-coast by reinventing and reinvigorating the music you thought you knew ... like you've never heard before. The tour, directed by Tony Award nominee Randal Myler, will be making stops in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia.

Originally conceived by Harold Thau and directed by Randal Myler, Almost Heaven combines Denver's songs with excerpts from his autobiography, performed against a backdrop of stunning visual images of America in the 60s and 70s. Twenty- nine of Denver's songs – including "Rocky Mountain High," "Sunshine on My Shoulders," "Annie's Song," "Leaving on a Jet Plane," and more – are rediscovered and reinvented by a versatile five-person cast, weaving a uniquely theatrical narrative. The tour currently features the voices and talents of Michael Bojtos, Rosie Mattia, Benjamin Zep Misek, Ryan Nearhoff and Vernae Taylor.

The tour will kick off it's Winter Leg on January 18, 2008 at the Company Theatre in Norwell, Massachusetts.
