Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd Artistic Director and TriStan Wilson Managing Director, welcomed back award-winning singer/songwriter Michele Brourman and Heather Mac Rae with Love & Take Out, for two performances September 21 at 9:30pm and September 22 at 7:30pm at Mr. Finn's Cabaret, located on the lower level of the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield.

Love & Take Out is an evening of original songs about romance, Chinese food & more. Barrington Stage audiences know Michele Brourman as musical director for Amanda McBroom's SRO cabarets. Special guest star Heather Mac Rae has appeared at Barrington Stage in A...My Name is Still Alice and Disorder: A Mother/Daughter Vaudeville.

Michele Brourman is an award-winning singer/songwriter whose song "My Favorite Year" has become a cabaret standard, recorded by Michael Feinstein, Margaret Whiting, Cleo Laine and Amanda McBroom. Other songs have been recorded by Heather Mac Rae, Rita Coolidge, Sheena Easton, and Donny Osmond and featured in television ("Cagney & Lacey", "Designing Women") and film. She and Amanda McBroom wrote the songs for 16 animated features for Universal Studios, including the beloved Land Before Time series, and created the score for the musical Dangerous Beauty, which premiered at the Pasadena Playhouse in 2011. With lyricist Sheilah Rae, she created the score for the off-Broadway musical I Married Wyatt Earp. She composed the dance and incidental music for the original Broadway production of Working. As a musical director, she's worked with artists such as Dixie Carter, Heather Mac Rae, Bernadette Peters, Mariette Hartley, George Ball and Amanda McBroom, and played piano in Bob Dylan's band

Heather Mac Rae returns to BSC having starred in A My Name Will Always Be Alice, directed by Julie Boyd (cast recording on Original Cast Records). Michele was Heather's first musical director when she started her cabaret and concert career many years ago. Ms. Mac Rae has performed throughout America in clubs and concert halls. Her highly acclaimed solo act, Songs For My Father won her a MAC and BISTRO award. She has appeared on Broadway in: HAIR, Coastal Disturbances, Falsettos and A Catered Affair. Her solo recordings: Songs For My Father and I Choose Love. Other recordings: Falsettoland, I Love New York, Abie's Island Rose.
