Due to recent health issues, Freddie Roman was unable to perform in the Friars Club Comedy Festival which he curated for the Mahaiwe and had planned to host. The show went on in Freddie's honor, with his long-time friend Stewie Stone, the Prior of the Friars, stepping in as host and with Freddies favorite, on-the-rise stand-up comics carrying on the Catskills comedy tradition.

BroadwayWorld brings you photots from the big event below!

The evening featured comics Michele Balan, Tom Cotter, Cory Kahane, and Dave Konig. Tom Cotter is currently a finalist in NBC's *America's Got Talent*. He recently filmed his own half-hour special on Comedy Central and he won the grand prize at the Boston Comedy Festival; he's also been featured on *The Tonight Show with Jay Leno*, *The Late Late Show*, and was voted Best Stand-Up at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival. Cory Kahaney has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Bonnie Hunt Show, The Joy Behar Show, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson; her off-Broadway hit The J.A.P. Show ran for six months in New York City and continues to tour the country under a new name, The Princesses of Comedy. Michele Balan was one of the finalists on NBC's Last Comic Standing and she has appeared on The Joy Behar Show, Byron Allen's Comics Unleashed, and the OUTlaugh festival on MTV's LOGO; she headlines all over the country at Comedy Clubs, corporate events, JCC's, country clubs, and cruises.

Comedian Dave Konig hosted HBO's infamous late night comedy series *Hardcore TV*, hosted and produced the cult hit talk show parody *The Dave Konig Show* for USA Network, and won three Emmy Awards as host of NY Metro TV's reality/comedy series. A giant get well card was signed by the Mahaiwe audience and sent to Freddie.
