The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in the Berkshires has announced its Fall 2012 lineup of events, including "An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin" in October and more.
Broadway's LuPone and Patinkin headline a benefit performance on October 14 at 7 p.m. to honor John Hoyte Stookey. As described on the Mahaiwe's website, the concert "reunites these Tony Award-winning virtuosos (and lifelong friends) for the first time since Evita. Much more than a concert, this is a unique musical love story told entirely through a masterful selection of the greatest songs ever written for the stage."
Other featured performers in the music category include Grammy Award winner Keb Mo in October, reggae group Toots and the Maytals in November, The Temptations in December, and more.
The Mahaiwe will also continue to present two "Live in HD" screenings series from The Metropolitan Opera and London's National Theatre, featuring The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, The Last of the Haussmans and Timon of Athens, throughout the fall.
