ImprovBoston resurrects its annual blood-soaked Halloween show, GoreFest, with a musical production that puts the audience in the middle of the carnage and promises to deliver blood, guts, and buckets of laughter. This year's original musical, Gorefest XIV: The Campain - More Camp. More Pain. takes our adult guests through a gruesome wringer as local politics wind up in a dead heat. Audiences are sure to enjoy original musical numbers, political spoofs, and the electoral brawl.
An annual tradition with a cult following, ImprovBoston's GoreFest features a darkly comic musical penned entirely by the GoreFest creative team with popular past titles including Cirque du Slaughté, Macabr-et, and Slaughterhouse on the Prairie. ImprovBoston's GoreFest is part camp, part Broadway, part haunted house and all hilarious. Nate Lopez, director of Gorefest XIV: The Campain, says, "The election cycle is dying to be satirized. So we humbly obliged, with extra gore, of course. Our fictional election will promise to entertain you at least as much as the actual election AND it's sure to cause less Facebook fights with your high school friends!" His talented cast of local improvisers and actors are ready to take the stage and provide the laughs until they met their untimely often hilarious deaths. Gorefest XIV: The Campain - More Camp. More Pain. runs from October 27 - November 6 at ImprovBoston. Tickets are $25, $20 students at the door. Recommended ages 16+. For a full list of shows and times, visitimprovboston.com/gorefest.Videos
