Ogunquit Playhouse Open Casting For 'Les Miz' Children

 The Ogunquit Playhouse is seeking three children for principal roles for the Broadway musical Les Misérables. All three should be in a height range of 4'5" to 4'9" with a slim build.  The first two roles require theatre experience with strong vocal abilities. Individuals that are slightly taller with extensive vocal experience will be considered.  Please visit www.ogunquitplayhouse.org for the breakdown of open roles and audition guidelines.

Young Cosette is generally cast with a fair complexion and sings "Castle on a Cloud" from "Little Cosette".*

Gavroche is a scrappy boy, rebel in the making, feisty street urchin, any ethnicity and sings from "Javert at the Barricade"* and "The Beggars".*   

Young Eponine is generally cast with darker hair and is an "acting only" role. No singing experience is needed.

Auditions are open Saturday, August 30, 10am -4pm at the Ogunquit Playhouse, 10 Main Street (US Route One), Ogunquit, Maine. No appointments are necessary. Children must come prepared; sheet music is available by downloading from the audition page on the website www.ogunquitplayhouse.org/auditions.

Rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 2nd and will be mostly arranged for after school hours.  Les Misérables runs from Wednesday, September 10 to Sunday, October 12. Please check our website for the actual performance schedule, including mid-week matinees.
