Kate Bornstein's On Men, Women and the Rest of Us and VIP Reception
Nov 10 and 11
Calderwood Pavilion
$100 includes reception, award presentation & performance
As you may have seen in the Boston Globe this morning, Kate Bornstein will be gracing the stage tonight and tomorrow night as a fundraiser to benefit all the amazing work that The Theater Offensive does year-long! If you haven't seen the article yet, check it out here.
Kate Bornstein is a towering legend of queer theater. Her Art/Activism has shaped the transgender movement like no other performer in history. Kate's signature show, On Men, Women, and the Rest of Us, wraps her favorite monologues and hot-off-the-press memoirs into an unforgettable evening of warm, challenging entertainment. Maybe this is your chance for an intimate evening with your lifelong hero or perhaps this is your very first introduction to trans culture, you will never forget this deeply moving affirmation of spirit for sex-and-gender outlaws. To celebrate our 20th anniversary, Kate Bornstein has made possible this special two-night event to support The Theater Offensive, New England's leading creator of queer theater.
We will be honoring Boston's Gender Heroes! Tues Nov 10: Toni Amato, Judah Dorrington, Gunner Scott, Aliza Shapiro, Grace Sterling Stowell. Weds Nov 11: Mesma S. Belsare, Joanne Herman, Gordene MacKenzie, Mal Malme, Nancy Nangeroni, Robbie Samuels.
