Beth Fowler will star in the straight-from-Broadway comedy-drama THE VELOCITY OF AUTUMN as Alexandra, a 79-year-old artist in a showdown with her family over where she'll spend her remaining years. The Cape Cod premiere takes place June 16 and will run through June 27, 2015.

Beth has been nominated twice for Tony Awards: first, as Mrs. Lovett in the 1989 revival of SWEENEY TODD, and then opposite Hugh Jackman in THE BOY FROM OZ. Beth also created the role of Mrs. Potts on Broadway in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST among her dozen Broadway appearances. She currently stars as Sister Ingalls in the hit Netflix original series, ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, and has a long career in television and films.

David Mason joins Beth Fowler as her estranged son, Chris, who returns after 20 years to become the family's unlikely mediator. Cape Playhouse audiences loved David last summer in THE ODD COUPLE and ALMOST, MAINE. He has had a long career acting Off Broadway and in major regional theaters around the country.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at CapePlayhouse.com or by calling 508-385-3911.
