North Shore Music Theatre to Present GREASE, 8/12-24

GREASE is the world's #1 rock 'n roll musical and it will be hand-jivin' across the stage at Bill Hanney's award winning North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) for two weeks only. GREASE begins performances on Tuesday, August 12 and plays thru Sunday, August 24. Press night is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13 at 7:30 pm

"This show is perfect summer fun for the North Shore Music Theatre audiences," said NSMT owner and producer Bill Hanney. "This is the first time we have been allowed to produce a version of Grease that includes all of the beloved music that was written for the 1978 movie including You're the One That I Want and Hopelessly Devoted To You."

Get out your leather jackets, pull on your bobby socks and take a trip to the fabulous fifties with the original rock 'n roll high school musical, GREASE! Bad boy Danny and good girl Sandy meet and fall in love in this all-new production featuring the irresistible songs from the Broadway show and hit movie! So get ready to hand-jive the night away with this 'electrifyin,' high-energy musical that will make you want to stand up and shout, "A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop A-wop-bam-boom!"

North Shore Music Theatre's production of GREASE will be led by Ephie Aardma as Sandy Dombrowski, Matthew Ragas as Danny Zuko, Gerianne Perez as Betty Rizzo and Miguel Jarquin-Moreland as Kenickie. Also featured will be Ben Chavez, Hillary Ekwall (Patty Simcox), Aleka Emerson (Marty), Anthony Johnson (Sonny), Tony Lawson (Vince Fontaine/Teen Angel), Morgan Marcell (Cha-Cha), Cheryl McMahon (Miss Lynch), Michael Mendez (Roger), Jason Moody (Eugene), Stephanie Moskal, Shawn Platzker (Doody), Brooke Shapiro (Jan), and Lilly Tobin (Frenchy).

The creative team for GREASE is made up of Mark Martino (Director), Mark Stuart (Choreographer), Craig Barna (Music Direction), Jeff Modereger (Scenic Design), Paula Peasley-Ninestein Ninest (Costume Coordination), Michael Barnett (Lighting Design), Benjamin Furiga (Sound Design), Gerard Kelly (Wig and Hair Designer), John Godbout (Production Stage Manager), Phill Madore (Assistant Stage Manager), Colin Freeman (Assistant Music Director), and Binder Casting (Casting). GREASE is produced for North Shore Music Theatre by Bill Hanney (Owner/Producer), Tony Parise (Interim Artistic Director), and Beth Vasta (Associate Producer).

Tickets for the GREASE are priced from $50 - $75. Performances are August 12 thru August 24, Tue - Thurs at 7:30 pm, Fri & Sat at 8 pm, matinees Wed, Sat and Sun at 2 pm. A performance has been added on Thursday, August 21 at 2pm. Kids 18 and under save 50% on 'Family Fridays'- August 15 & 22 at 8 pm. The 2014 musical season continues with Chicago (September 23 - October 5), LES MISERABLES, (October 28 - November 9), and concludes with the return of New England's brightest holiday tradition A Christmas Carol (December 5 - 21), starring David Coffee as Ebenezer Scrooge.
