On Wednesday, May 7, 2014, New Repertory Theatre will hold its annual Gala celebration at the historic Commander's Mansion at the Arsenal on the Charles in Watertown and at the Arsenal Center for the Arts.

The 2014 Gala celebrates 30 seasons at New Rep. Inspired by our upcoming production of Eric Overmyer's ON THE VERGE, this festive evening features an array of exquisite food and drink, spirited live performances, and enticing live and silent auction items.

This year we celebrate our 2014 Gala Honorees: Martha and Peter Karoff, New Rep Founding Board Members; Anita Walker, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Cultural Council; and Robert Brustein, innovator and pioneer of Boston theatre. We raise a glass to these honorees, each having played an integral role in New Rep's achievements and triumphs throughout the years.

"The New Rep Gala is a wonderful opportunity for our friends, families, and supporters to celebrate what we've achieved during the season," says Artistic Director, Jim Petosa. "In this our 30th season, we have much to celebrate; our work has been engaging, passionate, and personal, and I hope that resonates throughout the festivities at this year's Gala."

"We are pleased to honor several outstanding members of the New Rep family and the cultural community of Massachusetts," says Managing Director, Harriet Sheets. "Each of the honorees has uniquely influenced the work that we do and the work being done at organizations like us across the region. We are grateful for the opportunity to present them awards of recognition during our Gala."

The evening begins at the Commander's Mansion at the Arsenal on the Charles in Watertown and continues at the Arsenal Center for the Arts with highlights from the upcoming 2014-2015 Season. At the Commander's Mansion, guests will savor delicious food from restaurant partners AB Catering, Marmaladies, Not Your Average Joe's, Pronti Bistro, Sensational Foods, Stellina Restaurant, Terry O'Reilly's, and The Caterer. At 8pm, guests will be transported to the Arsenal Center for the Arts via Old Town Trolley for a special performance at the Charles Mosesian Theater hosted by NECN's The Morning Show host, Steve Aveson.

In addition, the 2014 Gala will feature a Live and Silent Auction. Live Auction items include a long-weekend get-away at a luxury home in Provincetown, tickets to The Metropolitan Opera's performance of THE MAGIC FLUTE with Jim Petosa and Harriet Sheets, and lunch with the cast of THE MILK TRAIN DOESN'T STOP HERE ANYMORE featuring Olympia Dukakis at Stellina Restaurant in Watertown. All Live and Silent Auctions can be viewed at www.newrep.org/evets/gala.

Individual tickets to the 2014 Gala are $200. Celebration Sponsorships can be purchased at a Gold Level (10 tickets) for $2,000 or a Silver Level (6 tickets) for $1,200 and include premium seating at the Gala Program in the Charles Mosesian Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts.
