A new musical based on Elise Primavera's New York Times Best-selling Book Auntie Claus is set to open at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The show will open November 17 and play through December 30.

"Auntie Claus" the book, appeared on shelves in 2000 and was soon after chosen as the subject of Saks Fifth Avenue holiday windows. A sequel, "Auntie Claus and the Key to Christmas" soon appeared by author/artist Primavera.

The new musical features book and lyrics by Bert Bernardi and music by Scott Simonelli (who also penned last season's book-to-stage version on Cinderella Skeleton). The cast features Pamela Garrett as Auntie Claus and Miranda Card Lampke (Brundibar) as Sophie. Also in the cast are Gloria Glynn, Kara Burgess, Jimmy Johansmeyer, Shannon Bolcer, Maria Vee, Marc Guerrette, Lance Anthony, Andrew Hendrick, Molly Garbe, Cameron Phillips, Elissa Demaria, Rusty Moore, Brendan Quinn and Vanessa David.

The design team for Auntie Claus includes Jimmy Johansmeyer (Costumes), Hugh Hallinan (Lights), Delmar (Sets), Steve Swatt (Technical Director) and Phill Hill (Production Stage Manager).
