NSMT celebrates the 25th Annual Production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL - December 4 - 23, 2015

Bill Hanney's North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) is proud to be celebrating the 25th annual production of this original, award-winning production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL created just for NSMT audiences. Whether it's ghostly special effects, the dozens of revelers and musicians, or the cold scowl of Ebenezer Scrooge, there is something for everyone in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, playing 14 performances only from Friday, December 4 thru Wednesday, December 23, 2015. Press Night scheduled for Friday, December 4 at 7:30pm.

"It has been a year of celebration as North Shore Music Theatre itself celebrated its 60th season this year, and now we conclude with A Christmas Carol celebrating its 25th annual production," said NSMT's owner and producer Bill Hanney. "I am honored to continue to produce this spectacular masterpiece that is such an important part of so many families' Holiday traditions, including my own."

Based on the Charles Dickens classic, A CHRISTMAS CAROL is an original adaptation by former NSMT Artistic Director Jon Kimbell and members of the NSMT staff, following Ebenezer Scrooge through a series of strange and magical ghostly encounters, where he ultimately discovers the true spirit of the holiday season. With dazzling special effects that have grown even more exciting over time, traditional and original songs, and colorful costumes, A CHRISTMAS CAROL has become a holiday favorite throughout New England having been seen by more than one million people since 1989.

NSMT audience favorite, David Coffee, returns once again as Ebenezer Scrooge, marking Mr. Coffee's 50th production at North Shore Music Theatre since 1992. This year's production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL also includes Leigh Barrett (Ghost of Christmas Past, Mrs. Cratchit), Peter S. Adams (Ghost of Christmas Present, Gentleman 1), Andrew Tighe (Ghost of Christmas Future, Young Scrooge), Freddie Kimmel (Jacob Marley), Tommy Labanaris (Narrator), Russell Garrett (Bob Cratchit), Nathaniel Braga (Pearlie), Brad Trump (Pearlie), Lenni Alexandra Kmiec (Belle), Bronson Norris Murphy (Fred), Cheryl McMahon (Mrs. Dilbur/ Mrs. Fezziwig), J.T. Turner (Mr. Fezziwig/Gentleman 2), Robert Conte (Old Joe, Ensemble), Eva Rae Costanza (Ensemble), Lianne Gennaco (Meg, Ensemble), Tim McShea (Dick Wilkins, Ensemble), and Lorin Zackular (Ensemble).

The cast of 29 will also feature young performers from many local communities including Meghan Ahern (Teen Caroler), Jake Bassinger (London Boy), Ian Castracane (London Boy), Jack Favazza (Boy Scrooge/Teen Caroler), Jake Flynn (Tiny Tim), Jillian Furber (Martha Cratchit), Joshua Gillespie (Ignorance/Want ), Scarlett Keene-Connole (Fan), Haven Pereira (Belinda Cratchit), Cameron Perrin (Peter Cratchit), and Jay Turner (Ignorance/Want).

The creative team for A CHRISTMAS CAROL includes Kevin P Hill (Director and Choreographer), Milton Granger (Music Direction), Howard C. Jones (Original Scenic Design), Paula Peasley-Ninestein (Resident Costume Designer), Jack Mehler (Lighting Design), Leon Rothenberg (Sound Design), Eileen F. Haggerty (Production Stage Manager), Amanda M. Stuart (Assistant Stage Manager), Robert L. Rucinski (Assistant Music Director). Flying effects are provided by ZFX, Inc. A CHRISTMAS CAROL is produced for North Shore Music Theatre by Bill Hanney (Owner/Producer), Kevin P. Hill (Artistic Director), and Tom Amos (Associate Producer).

Throughout the run of A CHRISTMAS CAROL NSMT will be collecting toys in the lobby for Tiny Tim's Toy Drive. NSMT will be accepting unopened, unwrapped toys for boys and girls ages 2 - 12. All toys will be donated to Toys for Tots.

Tickets for A CHRISTMAS CAROL are priced from $59 to $74. Performances are December 4 - December 23, 2015 (Evening shows December 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 22, 23 at 7:30pm; Matinees December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20 at 2pm). Kids 18 and under save 50% on Family Fridays (December 4, 11, & 18 at 7:30pm).
