In a ceremony on April 14, The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE), a panel of critics from community papers and media outlets around the state of Massachusetts, announced the winners of the IRNE Awards honoring the best of the 2007 theater season. North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) received 4 awards, including Best Production of a Musical.
NSMT's production of
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers was named Best Production of a Musical. In addition,
Scott Schwartz was named Best Director and
Patti Colombo received the Best Choreographer award for their work on the musical. Jeffry Denham was named Best Actor in a Musical for his stand out performance as Bobby Child in
Crazy for You.
