From the shores of Ilyria to the South Pacific, Moonbox Productions takes to the sea this fall with its productions of Twelfth Night and Shipwrecked! An Entertainment. Through these timeless stories, told by a shared cast of actors and musicians performed on alternating nights, Moonbox explores what it means to be lost, what it means to be found, and what we all discover on our own personal voyages. The cast of both productions will invite audiences to join them in an immersive and imaginative new world where actors not only deliver Shakespeare's and Margulies' text, but also perform original live music and puppetry, physical storytelling, and completely live foley effects. Both Twelfth Night and Shipwrecked! An Entertainment are suitable for young audiences and anyone with an imagination.

As with each show, Moonbox Productions partners with a local non-profit giving them visibility on their website and in their promotional materials, as well as giving them access to their audiences in order to raise awareness of their cause, create connections within the community, and increase the reach and impact of their work. For the productions of Twelfth Night and Shipwrecked! An Entertainment, Moonbox will be partnering with Boston Cares.

Boston Cares mobilizes and trains teams of individual and corporate volunteers who strengthen communities and improve the lives of people in need. Its year-round programs and seasonal service events engage 25,000 adults of all ages, children and teens and corporate partners who annually volunteer 75,000 hours in support of 165 schools and non-profits. Boston Cares is the largest volunteer agency in New England, an Innovation Hub within the global Points of Light Affiliate Network, and an award-winning leader in the volunteer engagement sector. Every $1 invested in Boston Cares leverages at least $4-$6 of value for the community. Since 1991, Boston Cares volunteers have served over 1.1 million hours! Boston Cares believes volunteers transform communities through service and civic engagement.

"This is our first foray into the world of repertory theater, so we are hugely excited to take on a novel challenge and stretch some new muscles this season! Audiences will find themselves immersed in a refreshing and creative take on Shakespeare's classic Twelfth Night, and will revel in the tall (or is it?) tale of Louis De Rougement's outrageous adventures in Shipwrecked! An Entertainment," said Sharman Altshuler, Producer and Artistic Director for Moonbox Productions. "We have been workshopping these pieces for several months with an amazing team of artists and can't wait to share them with our community!" said Altshuler. "We are also so pleased to be partnering with Boston Cares. This organization is taking volunteerism to a new level. They are transforming communities and improving the lives of countless individuals in need, by giving us all powerful and meaningful ways to get involved and give back to our communities."

The creative and design team include Sharman Altshuler (Producer), Allison Olivia Choat (Director), Dan Rodriguez (Music Director), Jo Williams (Production Manager), Kailey Bennett (Stage Manager), John Devlin (Set Designer), Jeffrey E. Salzberg (Lighting Designer), Elizabeth Rocha (Costume Designer), Emily Rosser (Wardrobe Supervisor), Becky Marsh (Master Electrician), Marci Diamond (Movement Consultant), Michael Lin (Foley Design), Daniel Blackwell (Dialect Coach).
