Moonbox Productions, nominated for and winner of numerous IRNE and Elliot Norton Awards, is thrilled to present the Tony Award winning musical, Cabaret, by John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Joe Masteroff. Cabaret opens on April 14th and runs through April 29th at the Boston Center for the Arts Calderwood Pavilion - Wimberly Theater, 527 Tremont Street, Boston. Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Fridays/Saturdays at 8 pm, Sat/Sun matinees 2 pm. There will also be a performance on Sunday, April 15th at 7:00pm. Cabaret is a gritty, sexy and thought-provoking musical about a society on the brink of catastrophic change. Set during the rise of the Nazis in 1930s Germany, this hard-hitting story revolves around the seedy Kit Kat Klub where patrons, captivated by the decadent allure, come to escape the deteriorating outside world. Written by the incomparable team of John Kander (music), Fred Ebb (lyrics) and Joe Masteroff (book), Cabaret is a sumptuous and provocative musical which is more relevant now than ever, exploring the devastating results of authoritarianism, bigotry, and cultural upheaval in times of political change. Musical numbers include well-known classics of the musical stage like "Money," "Mein Herr," "Willkommen," "Maybe This Time," and of course "Cabaret."

Produced by Sharman Altshuler, directed and choreographed by Rachel Bertone, with music direction by Dan Rodriguez, the cast of Moonbox Productions' presentation of Cabaret features Aimee Doherty* (Sally Bowles), Jared Troilo* (Clifford Bradshaw), Phil Tayler* (Emcee), Dan Prior (Ernst Ludwig), Maryann Zschau (Fraulein Schneider), Ray O'Hare (Herr Schultz), Joy Clark (Fraulein Kost/Kit Kat Girl), David Alea (Victor/Ensemble), Brad Reinking (Bobby/Ensemble), Daniel Forest Sullivan (Max/Hans/Ensemble), Brian-Barry Pereira (Herman/Ensemble), Kimberly Fife (Kit Kat Girl), Tracy Sokat (Kit Kat Girl), Caroline Workman* (Kit Kat Girl), and Katrina Pavao (Kit Kat Girl). As with each show, Moonbox Productions partners with a local non-profit giving them visibility on their website and in their promotional materials, as well as giving them access to their audiences to raise awareness of their cause, create connections within the community, and increase the reach and impact of their work. For the production of Cabaret, Moonbox will be partnering with FamilyAid Boston.

"We are thrilled to be making our Wimberly debut with this amazing - and incredibly relevant - musical," said Sharman Altshuler, Producer and Artistic Director for Moonbox Productions. "It is a favorite of all of ours in the company, and I know that, in the hands of this cast and production team, it is going to blow people away. The music and choreography alone are worth the price of admission, but equally exciting is the fact that this classic musical has lost none of its biting relevance, and so we are especially glad to have the opportunity to present it here in Boston at this time in our country's history," said Altshuler. "We are also so pleased to be partnering with FamilyAid Boston. This amazing non-profit is doing incredibly important work here in our city, not merely by providing shelter to homeless families, but also helping those families at every stage of their journey to becoming stable and self-sufficient."

The creative and design team include Sharman Altshuler (Producer), Rachel Bertone (Director & Choreographer), Dan Rodriguez (Music Director), Janie E. Howland (Set Design), John Malinowski (Lighting Design), David Wilson (Sound Design), Marian Bertone (Costume Design), David Lucey (Wardrobe Run Crew), Nicky Carbone (Stage Manager), Joe Fanning (Assistant Stage Manager), Jo Williams (Production Manager), Sam Biondolillo (Assistant Production Manager), Brian Melcher (Technical Director), Nathaniel Jewett (Master Electrician), Emily White (Dramaturg), Daniel Blackwell (Dialect Coach), Kara Kelly-Martin (Director of Community Initiatives), Rebecca Llanes (Company Intern).
