Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston presents the regional premiere of Mitzi Gaynor's one-woman show "Razzle Dazzle! My Life Behind the Sequins" on Sunday, April 22 at 1 p.m. at the Robinson Theatre. The legendary Hollywood, television and Las Vegas sensation is perhaps best known for her portrayal as Nellie Forbush in the movie musical "South Pacific."

"Razzle Dazzle! My Life Behind the Sequins" is an "intimate evening of laughs, love and music" with movie legend and triple threat superstar Mitzi Gaynor. This love letter to a great era of show business is part concert and part memoir – a glittering multimedia one woman tour-de-force of side-splitting stories and classic songs, along with video footage culled from her television, concert and film work.

The show, backed by a seven-piece band with music director Ed Czach on piano, features Gaynor putting her own spin on a variety of hits including "Honeybun," a medley of songs from "South Pacific;" "Show Off" from "The Drowsy Chaperone;" "Everything Old Is New Again;" "Seems Like Old Times;" "There's No Business Like Show Business;" and "Takin' a Chance on Love" here rewritten as "Takin' a Chance on Me." Gaynor also tells insider stories.

During her decades-spanning career, Gaynor has earned 17 Emmy nominations, an Entertainer of the Year Award, three Lifetime Achievement awards, and a Golden Globe nomination for her star-making turn as Nellie Forbush in the movie musical "South Pacific." In Las Vegas she broke all box office records at the famed Flamingo Hotel, and in a 1964 television appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show she received top billing over The Beatles. From 1968 through 1978 she hosted and starred in eight spectacular television variety specials that received blockbuster ratings and six Emmy Awards.

Throughout her career Gaynor has performed sold-out audiences at top concert venues and performing arts centers across the United States and Canada. On March 18, as president of the Professional Dancers Society, she hosted a star-studded tribute to Dame Julie Andrews. Also in March she was featured on the PBS special "Oscar Hammerstein: Out of My Dreams," a celebration of the most acclaimed lyricist and librettist of the 20th century hosted by Matthew Morrison. On April 22 Gaynor is making her Boston area premiere with "Razzle Dazzle!"
