Maiden Phoenix Theatre Company, continuing its Mission of creating more opportunity for female theatre artists- onstage and off- is proud to present its Fall production and first NEW PLAY: Miss Penitentiary by Laura Neubauer directed by Alyce Householter.

Description:
In the International Penitentiary for the Individually Incarcerated, all the inmates are guilty of the same charge. Their crime? They were born women, and there is only one way to freedom, by winning the annual jailhouse beauty pageant. But this year, one inmate seeks a less conventional way out. Neubauer creates a rousing world of intrigue and self-discovery that makes one question, how do we escape our own prisons?
