The MIT Musical Theatre Guild is holding orchestra auditions for the Fall 2009 production of Side Show. Auditions can be held any time after 5pm today, or Saturday, and 5-7pm on Wednesday. Auditions may also continue into next week if needed.

Rehearsals will be Sunday afternoons (exact time TBD, probably 2-5pm). Performances will be November 6-8 and 12-14.

Parts available:
Reed 1*: piccolo, flute, clarinet, soprano sax, alto sax
Reed 2*: piccolo, flute, recorder, clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax
Reed 3*: flute, oboe, english horn, clarinet, bass clarinet, tenor sax
Reed 4*: flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, bari sax
Horn
Trumpet (x3)
Trombone (x2)**
Tuba?**
Guitar
Bass
Drum set
Percussion
Keyboard (x2)

*If you happen to play one of these specific combinations of instruments, that's great, but the parts will almost certainly be re-split. Still, there will probably be one person dedicated to each of flute/piccolo, clarinet, oboe/english horn, and possibly bass clarinet. So if you play any combination of reeds (including a single instrument), you're welcome to audition.

**The Trombone 2 part includes bass trombone and tuba.
The part is very low, entirely within tuba range, so a tuba player may be considered for the part.

For questions or to schedule an audition, contact orchestra director Matt Putnam (msputnam@mit.edu).
Please indicate all times when you are available.
