We are seeking musicians for the pit orchestra of our IAP production of Little Shop Of Horrors. We'll be using the small, rock-combo edition of the show.

The musical numbers are fun, and encompass a variety of rock styles such as 50s doo-wop, 70s blues/funk, 70s disco, 70s/80s ballads and 60s/70s anthems, as well as a dose of some of the typical show tune styles from the same eras--at least: to the extent that show tune styles can be realized by a 5 piece rock-combo. Accordingly, each piece is important to the overall sound of the band and the show.

Currently needed are
- ELECTRIC BASS GUITAR
- PERCUSSION -- traps as well as bongos and more
- GUITARS: ACOUSTIC & ELECTRIC -- plus effects [distort/flange]
- KEYBOARDS -- several timbres (Jazz organ, cheesy organ, Fender Rhodes E.P.'s and various orchestral sections, to name a few).

Rehearsals will be roughly
- 2x per week: Jan 3 to Jan 24 (Sun afternoon + weeknight TBD)
- every night (except probably Tue): Jan 25 to Jan 28

Show performances will be
- evenings: Jan 29, 30 and Feb 4, 5 and 6, and
- matinee: Jan 31

Auditions/interviews are by appointment. Please contact us at little-music@mit.edu if you are interested.
