"Lynn" Singleton, Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) and Professional Facilities Management, Inc. (PFM) President, was honored last month with the 2009 Encore Award at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester, MA.

The Encore Award is given in recognition for those who have made a major impact in the Hanover Theatre's success, and through that, the impact on the revitalization of downtown Worcester, since the Theatre opened in March 2008.

The Hanover Theatre's Executive Director Troy Siebels said, "We're very grateful to Lynn and PFM for their efforts in bringing national touring Broadway shows like Legally Blonde, The Musical to Worcester."

Singleton and Alan J. Chille, PFM Vice President of Operations and PPAC General Manager, were also recognized at the 20th Annual Stars of the Industry Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner last Tuesday, December 2. Singleton is the 2009 Recipient of the Chairman's Award and Chille is the 2009 Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Singleton said, "It's terrific for PPAC to be acknowledged by the RI Hospitality Association and the RI Hospitality Education Foundation; it's a testament to the hard work of the PPAC staff and Board that the Theatre has become one of the most successful, not-for-profit theatres in the U.S. - I am pleased to accept this award on behalf of PPAC."

Chille said, "It is a great honor to be recognized for more than a quarter-century of work at PPAC. I greatly appreciate this award."
