Next at Barrington Stage, WTF alum Keira Naughton will return to the Berkshires to star in David Lindsay-Abaire's Wonder of the World. Directed by Rob Ruggiero, the show will run July 20 through August 5 at the Duffin Theater at Lenox Memorial HS in Lenox.
"A twisted black comedy,
Wonder of the World debuted at Manhattan Theatre Club and starred
Sarah Jessica Parker,
Kristine Nielsen,
Kevin Chamberlain, and
Amy Sedaris," according to press notes on the play.
"When Cass (Keira Naughton) discovers a dirty secret in her husband's sweater drawer, she has no choice but to pack her bags and head for of all places, Niagara Falls. In her frantic search for the life she thinks she missed out on, Cass crosses paths with a host of eccentrics in a spiral of misadventures that push her perilously close to the water's edge. This wild ride helps us remember - it's never too late to escape."
Wonder of the World will feature Finnerty Steves (recently seen Off-Broadway in
Almost, Maine), Rob Hutchison (recently seen opposite Keira Naughton in
Indoor/Outdoor), Northampton, MA native Dan Cantor, Libby George, William Bogert (best known for his several appearances on "Chappelle's Show") and Susan Louise O'Connor.
The production is designed by Luke Cantarella (sets), Anne Kenney (costumes), Scott Pinkney (lighting), and Vinnie Oliveri (sound).
