As part of their 30th Anniversary Season tribute to Julie Harris, Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (WHAT) has curated a memorial display in an effort to inform the public of Julie's deep relationship with theatrical organizations and individuals on Cape Cod. It opens with a reception at the theater today, June 21, from 4:30 to 6pm, and continues through September.

Visitors to WHAT will have the opportunity to see Julie's life in retrospect through a video created by Francesca James for the December 3 Memorial in New York, as well as stories and memorabelia from the individuals and theater companies she touched directly on Cape Cod.

Of particular note in exhibit is the small bench Julie used used as her resting spot while on trial as Joan of Arc on Broadway in The Lark - a performance that earned her a Tony Award. Also included are photographs from that performance including a stunning portrait of Boris Karloff, cast member, with Julie. Christopher Plummer and Theodore Bikel were also featured in that production.

The collection is a three-dimensional, interactive display, incorporating video, mementos and stories. It is a look back on Julie's career through the eyes of the people and companies who knew, loved and worked with her here, including Cape Playhouse, Monomoy, Eventide Arts, HJT, Academy of Performing Arts, and WHAT.

The display is free and open to the public seven days a week through September, from noon to 6pm. Another WHAT tribute to Julie, I Am a Camera, opens the following week.
