WIPR - Improvised Public Radio is an interactive improvised show with a classic workplace comedy format. Set in the studio of a small local public radio station, WIPR will give ImprovBoston audiences a glimpse into the chaos behind those soothing NPR voices. Watch as talent and producers try to keep their show running amid rocky relationships, malfunctioning equipment, and unpredictable guests.

Director Ben Snitkoff, a Boston comedy scene veteran (with 7 years at ImprovBoston under his belt) wanted to create a grounded improvised comedy show that satirized the seemingly calm and quiet public radio news shows with which Bostonians are all too familiar. "WIPR is like nothing I've seen on stage before. It mixes the excitement of a live on-air production with very patient, character-based, comedy," Snitkoff said.

WIPR adds to ImprovBoston's canon of truly Bostonian shows, including T! The Musical and Boston News Network.

WIPR - Improvised Public Radio runs Fridays at 10PM, January 29 - February 12. Tickets are $18, ($14 students) at the door and available online at improvboston.com
