Due to popular demand, the Huntington Theatre Company extends David Cromer's landmark staging of Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning Our Town to January 26, 2013. Tickets to extension performances are on sale now at huntingtontheatre.org and will be by phone at 617 266 0800; and in person at the BU Theatre Box Office, 264 Huntington Ave. and the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA Box Office, 527 Tremont St. in Boston's South End at noon today.

Seating is limited at many performances through January 13, but those between December 28 and January 2 still offer good availability. Check the online Availability Calendar at huntingtontheatre.org/OTavailability for the most up-to-date information.

The Huntington's production features a homegrown cast and brings Wilder's masterpiece home to Boston on its 75th anniversary. It inaugurates the Huntington's use of the intimate, 250-seat Roberts Studio Theatre in the Huntington's Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA. This production is supported by Grand Patron Boston University, Season Sponsors Carol G. Deane and J. David Wimberly, and Production Sponsors Judi and Douglas Krupp.

Cromer's concept has been hailed as the Our Town of a generation. It is recognized for being revelatory yet faithful and is renowned for its transparent stagecraft, sensory experience, and the audience's proximity to the actors. Runs in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles generated widespread critical and audience acclaim. Honored with the 2009 Obie Award for Directing and 2009 Lucille Lortel Awards for Best Revival and Direction, the Off Broadway mounting ran for more than 600 performances, making it the longest-running production in the history of the play.
