Hub Theatre Company Of Boston Presents Sam Shepard's TRUE WEST ImageHub Theatre Company of Boston will kick off its highly anticipated sixth season with the Pulitzer Prize nominated play TRUE WEST by the late Sam Shepard, directed by Daniel Bourque, starring Bob Mussett, Victor Shopov, Robert Orzalli and Maureen Adduci. Austin, an ambitious and accomplished screenwriter, and his older brother Lee, a beer-swilling, cunning drifter find themselves face to face in their mother's kitchen after years apart. However, instead of brotherly love, it's all-out war as their sibling rivalry explodes to reveal their secret envy of each other's lives. In an unexpected and ironic twist of fate, roles get reversed when Lee sells a screenplay and Austin hits the bottle as a petty thief. The brothers then struggle to prove they can successfully walk a mile in the other's shoes. Replete with toasters, typewriters and tantrums, Shepard's chaotic comedy is a true American classic.

IRNE Award nominated director Daniel Bourque leads a talented cast of Boston's finest actors: Bob Mussett (IRNE award nominee), Victor Shopov (IRNE and Elliot Norton award winner), Robert Orzalli (IRNE award nominee) and Maureen Adduci (Elliot Norton award winner and IRNE award nominee) in this wildly combative and comedic play.
