Greg Keller, Mia Barron and Kit Flanagan Set for SCHOONER Reading at Cape Cod Theatre Project, 7/4-6

Actors Greg Keller, Mia Barron and Kit Flanagan will participate in staged readings of Schooner by Rinne Groff (Compulsion, The Ruby Sunrise) at the Cape Cod Theatre Project, which will open its 19th Season this week.

The theatre, which develops new American plays, has begun its second season under Artistic Director, Hal Brooks (Thom Pain, No Child).

Keller (Broadway: Wit, Off Broadway: Belleville) and Barron (Broadway: Coast of Utopia, Off Broadway: Spirit Control) will appear with Kit Flanagan (Broadway: Collected Stories, Inherit the Wind) in this new play by Obie Winner Groff. Performances for Schooner are on July 4, 5 and 6.

Trip Cullman (Choir Boy, Murder Ballad) returns to CCTP to direct this comedy of a husband and wife who must decide how to proceed with the intricacies of their family when the mother-in-law moves in and the father-in-law might be lost at sea.

On July 11, 12 and 13, CCTP presents Sharr White's Broadway-bound The Snow Geese, directed by Artistic Director Hal Brooks. Heidi Schreck's Grand Concourse by (July 18, 19 & 20) and JC Lee's Luce (July 25, 26 & 27) round out the season.

All presentations of staged readings are at 8 p.m. at Falmouth Academy in Falmouth, MA. Tickets (suggested donation of $20) may be purchased by calling the box office at (508) 457-4242 or online at www.capecodtheatreproject.org.

For the past 18 years, The Cape Cod Theatre Project has brought top theater artists together to present staged readings to help develop the best new American plays and playwrights in the country. Of the 60 plays developed, 44 have gone on to Broadway, Off-Broadway, to the country's finest regional theaters and to other theaters around the world. Plays developed at The Cape Cod Theatre Project have later been produced at The Manhattan Theater Club, Playwrights Horizons, The Roundabout Theater, The Daryl Roth Theater, The Rattlestick Theater, The Public Theater, The La Jolla Playhouse, Rep Theater of St. Louis, Dallas Theater Center, and many, many others.
